I. What the Gaps Cost
Of the regions that have ever contributed, 78 have one or more fiscal years missing between their first and last reported gift. Multiplying each region's missing years by its own historical average yields a conservative estimate of $881,718 in contributions that would have arrived had every region kept to its own pace. The interruption is not theoretical — it is itemized in the table below.
